According to ICRIER [Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations] director and chief executive Rajat Kathuria the current mobile app economy in India is worth around $150 million. The market will be worth $626.23 million by 2016, with paid apps accounting for $344 million of this.
The Indian app market is set to grow in size by four times in the next two years, with paid apps making up more than half of the revenue generated.
